Resistant Adhesive Tape - Urgo
Adhesive tape made of rigid, aerated fabric that shows good resistance.
Fixation/retention of dressings or medical devices on friction or traction areas.
It can be cut without scissors!
Instructions for use:
Apply to clean skin, disinfected with an antiseptic, then rinsed with saline solution and dried.
The adhesive tape is easily tearable to adapt the length of the strip to its use.
Remove gently and replace on average every 24 hours, or as prescribed.
Precautions for use:
Keep out of reach of children.
Designed to adhere to healthy skin.
The concomitant presence of greasy products or hair, use on moist areas, on joint areas, can impair adhesiveness and lead to the loss of the retained medical device and a delay in healing (infection, multiple dressing changes, etc.).
When applying, do not create tension on the skin or the adhesive tape (risk of irritation, tourniquet effect).
To maintain optimal healing conditions, replace the adhesive tape if it is wet or loses adhesiveness.
To avoid any risk of irritation and delayed healing, do not exceed two applications per day. Do not use for more than 30 consecutive days.
The retention of medical material must have been explained by a healthcare professional.
Do not sterilize.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated for the fixation and retention of wet material, or probes (hematology, intensive care, incubators).
Adverse effects:
This adhesive tape can cause skin reactions such as redness, irritation, dermatitis, or pain upon removal, especially on dry or damaged skin.
In case of local reaction or itching, stop using the product and consult your healthcare professional.
Contains rosin derivatives which may cause skin allergy.
To minimize any risk of infection or skin reactions:
Strictly follow the instructions for use. Do not reuse a used adhesive tape.
Do not apply the adhesive tape directly to broken skin, on the eyes, or on mucous membranes (risk of irritation, inflammation, pain).
Do not use after the expiry date. Do not use a damaged product.
Any serious incident related to this product must be reported to URGO HEALTHCARE Laboratories and to the National Health Agency.
