Description

Urgo Callus Plasters

Thanks to their hydrocolloid mass , URGO Callus Treatment plasters relieve pain from the first application and eliminate pressure points caused by shoe friction. Furthermore, the emollient and moisturizing action of glycerin gently softens and removes the callus. Ultra-thin and transparent, they ensure complete comfort and discretion when treating calluses.

Instructions for use:

  1. Ensure that the skin of the callus shows no lesions, wounds, or redness .
  2. Soak the foot for 10 minutes in warm water .
  3. Clean and disinfect the callus and the surrounding area with an antiseptic solution (alcohol-free). Rinse and then dry with a sterile compress or allow to air dry.
  4. Warm the bandage between your hands.
  5. Remove the first protective wing without touching the central adhesive part of the dressing.
  6. Apply the hydrocolloid dressing centered on the callus ; the callus must be completely covered by the dressing.
  7. Remove the second protective layer by smoothing and pressing the edges of the dressing to improve adhesion. Change the dressing according to the instructions, on average once a day , or when it starts to wrinkle. The dressing should not remain in place for more than 2 to 3 days , after which it should be removed if it has not come off on its own.
  8. Once the dressing has been removed, remove/scrape away the excess softened skin on the surface of the callus and apply a new dressing if necessary, according to the instructions.

Instructions/precautions:

  • Non-sterile hydrocolloid dressing indicated for the treatment of calluses
  • Do not cut. Single use only, do not reposition a dressing once applied, do not reuse the same dressing (risk of poor hygiene and lack of adhesion).
  • Do not apply to broken skin or wounds (risk of infection)
  • Do not apply a bandage or remove a bandage already applied and consult a doctor or podiatrist:
    – in case of worsening of the callus or lack of improvement within 6 days of treatment,
    – in case of signs of infection (redness, pain, heat, swelling around the wound, pus, etc.)
  • Diabetic patients are advised to use hydrocolloid dressings only under medical or nursing supervision.
  • In case of sticky hydrocolloid residue on the skin, soaking in water is recommended: the adhesive will swell, lose its stickiness and detach.
  • Do not use these dressings for more than 30 consecutive days.
  • Keep the dressings in their original box.
  • The product should be applied by an adult for children under 16 years of age.

Side effects:

  • This dressing can cause skin reactions such as redness, irritation, dermatitis, or pain upon removal.

To minimize any risk of infection or skin reactions:

  • Follow the instructions for use carefully. Do not reuse a used bandage.
  • Do not apply to the eyes or mucous membranes. Do not use after the expiry date. Do not use a damaged product.

Any serious incident related to this product must be reported to URGO HEALTHCARE Laboratories and the National Agency for Health Products (ANSM).
